Stonehearth

The lupine city of Stonehearth was settled between the large hills of the mountain ranges to the east and the dense spruce forest to the west. Placed within one of the mountain passes, the lupine settlers set up a sturdy and comfortable home for themselves. Their town slowly grew, and as time went on and other neighboring threats made themselves known to the lupines, they realized their quaint town would need to be defended. The ruler has some of their best men plan a wall around the city, and over the next decade of grueling labor, most of the population helping in any way they could, one of the mightiest walls was erected around their town, with room to expand. The town grew within its newfound defenses, but the people within never lost their hard working and hardy lifestyles, their culture of respect, determination, and a deeply rooted helpful nature. When war struck, they allowed neighboring refugees shelter within their walls, and no matter the conditions, the walls held. With a well organized guard, watchtowers, ramparts and very sturdy portcullis's among other defenses, they were stalwart. The walls of Stonehearth had never fallen and were well known throughout the continent for their unwavering strength, and the people within were proud to call it home. These people, though sometimes discriminated due to their lycanthropic visage, were most often times seen as friendly and willing to lend a hand, as well as very protective of their kin and those close to them. Legends told of lupine mothers killing giants to defend their pups. Some lupines did prefer solidarity, but being a social race they tended to be very socially involved. Telling stories was important for the elders, marketplaces were often full of chatter, and holidays were important times for closeness of family and their species as a whole.   Overall, the lupines of Stonehearth are diligent, quick to lend aid and warmhearted toward these that offer them respect. One lupine who exemplfies these traits is Steel Wilhelm, a knight of Stonehearth with a heart of gold and a shell of iron.
