Garugal Flameseer

Garugal is an odd wizard. He is a master wizard, but always has a sword and shield on him. He wears armor instead of robes. By all acounts, he should be a master warrior. But that is not where Garugal's passion lies. He did start as a fighter, but turned to magic quickly. He wanted to know his enemy thoroughly, and so turned to divination. This desire to know his enemy became a desire to know more. Orcs are master tacticians, and Garugal knew he could use this tool to great effect. So he went to the academy. His strange ways drew attention to him, which only made his accomplishments more known. Eventually when the Master of Divination looked into the mists to find her successor, Garugal's image strode forth. He accepted the honor, and became one of the most martial archmages the academy has ever seen.
His strange arms are not only mementos of his warrior past though. He keeps his blade and shield at a mirror shine, and uses them as implements to divine.  He doesn't have crystal balls or magic mirrors, he gazes into his shield when divining the future. He also uses a different shield in battle, using his magical insight to guide his blade.
