The rain fell for thirteen days, and the Hollow swelled. The ground turned black, choked with roots and strange flowers, and the water rose into the wooden walkways. Houses were dragged into the water, their foundations and stilts crumbling.

The people built wards of Embermoss and Blackroot Bloom, holding the flood at bay, but it was Roan Grimbark, a swampwitch, who sacrificed herself to seal the water’s advance. The waters receded, but to this day, Boghaven’s eastern quarter remains flooded; a drowned district of half-submerged ruins where strange lights flicker, and whispers carry on the wind.
