Sunset River

A man-made river at the base of the Sunset Cliffs. It collects the rain scraped out of clouds by the cliffs and diverts it either to the ocean in the north, or the lake to the south. Pumps are used to keep the water levels low. It’s not usually emptied because it’s prettier as a river than a trench, but it can be if some large storms are approaching. 
People are heavily advised against using the river for transportation or leisure, but it happens sometimes. Debris sometimes also falls into the river, which can be deadly.
