Rove

The planet Rove, home of two large continents as different as night and day. To the east, thriving civilizations and ancient peace. To the west, unexplored wilderness filled with dangerous creatures and, allegedly, valuable artifacts. Civilization has spent the last thousand years with minimal knowledge of the land overseas, but studies of knowledge, technology, and foreign cultures are finally reaching a point where exploration seems realistic.   A thousand years ago, civilization was in a dire state. Governments saw staggering levels of corruption, leading anarchy to reign supreme. Morality was seen as a luxury that the poor scavengers of the world could not afford to indulge in. A group of powerful beings, origins unknown, took it upon themselves to purge the world of impurities. They slaughtered 99% of Rove's population in what would later come to be known as the Erasure of Depravity. These 13 warriors would later come to be worshiped as the Wardens of Virtue by the survivors and their descendants.   The Erasure, albeit bloody, was effective. Since that event, there have been no large-scale wars and the different communities of the world have coexisted peacefully. Evil still exists, but it knows better than to show itself in the face of the Wardens. Instead, it lurks in the shadows and cowers from the eyes of the Wardens.   However, there is a third power at play, who sees the conflict as more than a matter of good and evil. Even further in the shadows, a small group of skilled individuals plans their revolution, one they claim will avenge their fallen ancestors of a millennium passed, and restore freedom of mortals to be the flawed creatures they were meant to be.
