Erasure of Depravity

The Erasure of Depravity was an event that happened a millennium ago, and was so significant to the people of Rove that it marks the beginning of the current era. During this event, the 13 warriors known as the Wardens of Virtue descended upon Rove and purged 99% of the world's population, only leaving alive those who met their standards of virtue. Those who perished immediately shattered into tiny crystal particles that soaked into the land, creating the Stained Caverns. Society had to rebuild entirely, a monumental task that the Wardens assisted them with. The most important gift the Wardens left was the Sanctum of Virtue, a library full of books personally written by all of the Wardens.
