Kiimati

The continent west of Zarmuda, the Sea of Grass, and the Uribasan Mountains. It includes the Darcassian Empire, the Queendom of Athelia, the Stone Lands, and Zolacwa far in the southeast.

Geography

The northernmost parts of Kiimati experience snow and rainfall year round. The bulk of the Darcassian Empire occupies this band of snow covered tundra and wind battered plains. The weather warms up as one heads south and then southeast. Athelia is a place of wide open plains, rolling hills, and crystal clear streams. It is located east, southeast of the Darcassian Empire. Athelia's pleasant greenery transitions into the Stone Lands. The Stone Lands are a forbidding land south of Athelia. It is a place of rocky crags, deserts, and valleys. Ancient ruins and gargantuan statues litter the land. Sandstorms rage, posing a major threat to those unable to find shelter underground. Even further southeast lies the jungles of Zolacwa. Zolacwa is home to the strange Canopy Men and their temple palaces. Swamps sit interspersed beneath the dark, sky obscuring jungle. Visitors call it the land of darkness, those of a faithful bent considering it a land forsaken by the God Kings. In some places, the jungle trees rise miles high. Zolacwa is separated from the Stone Lands by the Grey Princes Mountains which comprises the borders between those two lands. Abandoned Dwarf and Uriban cities can be found, obscured by fog. This same fog can be poisonous in certain areas. It is suspected that the old Uriban Colony, the City of Riccuban, may be nestled in one of the few safe passages remaining in those forbidding mountains. Once upon a time the Grey Princes was part of the Uribasan Mountains. This was before the War of Zealots and Martyrs. Kiimati is called the Gateway to the Stars because of its close proximity to the Sea Bridge of Stars.
