Zerizite
Discovered in large quantities off Darcassia's western coasts, Zerizite is a powerful mineral that can be adapted for different purposes. In its basic form Zerizite acts as a power conductor. When crushed down and refined into a powder or a liquid Zerizite becomes a versatile reagent or as a form of medicine.
Zerizite's discovery at the end of the War of Zealots and Martyrs revitalized the Artificial Age. Darcassians adore Zerizite. It is an efficient power source for the Empire's machines, a miracle medicine, a powerful alternative to ordinary black powder, and a catalyst for instant genetic modification.
Its power is currently little understood but Zerizite is a sought after commodity across the Empire. Despite lacking understanding of the ore's quirks it has not stopped the Empire from (some say recklessly) tapping into its power.
Properties
Material Characteristics
Zerizite as an ore or liquid gives off a constant changing color and glow. The only visible constant is its shimmering, brilliant color. Zerizite is easiest to find in water because of its trademark shimmer.
Physical & Chemical Properties
It is a cold and coated in a sticky substance that comes from the ore itself. Zerizite can be crushed down into powder or even converted into liquid.
Geology & Geography
Zerizite was first found in the Sea Bridge of Stars and along the Darcassian Empire's western coasts. Its glimmers could be seen beneath the water as it was dredged from the depths. Mining along the coast have exposed other nodes.
