Samantha Wise
Samantha was once - and may soon be again - unaware of the hidden world veiled from her eyes. But for now, she is Wise to the machinations of the fae, and as long as she keeps hold of the wonder given to her by the Frog-Prince , she will remain aware.
One of the richer families in Roseland, Samantha always wears the latest fashions (for Roseland's standards - it's about half a season behind everything else) and is one of the first girls to start wearing makeup in middle school . She's a part of the popular girl clique, and one of Hilda's friends, though it was an alliance born out of shared goals rather than genuine warmth.
Now, though... well.
On Halloween night, Samantha was Enchanted by Skulde to be able to see the fairies of Ashby Manor , and as the only girl dressed as a princess, Skulde begged for her to kiss a chimera that she and the other young changelings had found: a frog-prince. At first hesitant, Samantha finally relented and kissed the amphibian, transforming it back into its human form.
In thanks, it gave her a vial: the Salientian Elixir. As long as that vial remains on her, Samantha can see the world for what it is, and even be an ally to the other fairies at her school. Let's just hope she never loses it.
