Demographics

The population of Houndfordge is reflective of the larger urzhan population, and consists of mostly dwarves, with some small contingents of humans, elves, halflings, and genasi.

Many of the inhabitants of Houndfordge work within the large gem mine as miners, operators, manufactors, and technicians, or work within the bustling city centre in the many pubs, inns, and shops that line the city streets.

Defences

The city is surrounded by tall stone walls to prevent any invading species or rockfalls from the mountainous surroundings, and a watch is employed to ensure the safety of the populus from such events.

Industry & Trade

Industry and trade is a hugely important aspect of Houndfordge's prosperity, as a manufacturing hub for the province. Much of the materials produced here are shipped across the continent, and there is a limited trading community within the city walls as well.

Infrastructure

Houndfordge is the industrial centre of Orzhance, and is located next to the largest gem mine in the province. The city's infrastructure is built around this mine, which is mined, manufactured, packaged, and shipped from within the city.
