Session 06: "The True Tomb"
General Summary
The Ratcatchers gather the bones of the Land family before heading to Cragmire Church of Otarr. Here they meet with Luminarie Jierian Wierus the leader of the church. Once they arrive they find that evening sermon is just finishing so they wait to listen to the end of the sermon. The sermon is filled with tales of woe and misfortune and about how the end of times are coming. Eventually the sermon ends and the citizens of Cragmire begin to file out and return to their homes or places of rest. The group manages to finally talk to Jierian, who is quite friendly to the party, even more so after Axto butters him up some. The group trade some words and they even manage to talk the price of healing Elora and Masari down to 15 gp each instead of the regular 18gp it would have cost them to get the specialized healing services they need.

Once they finished getting healed our Ratcatcher's head to The Feral Dog to spend the night. They awake the next morning and head to the Land Family Farmstead. Here they finally lay to rest all the members of the Land Family. They then travel back to The Whispering Cairn to see if Alastor was being truthful or not. Thankfully he was and our Ratcatchers quickly make their way beyond the now opened passage. Inside they find a large lit chamber with a bottomless pit within. On the walls are reliefs depicting multiple scenes of history. A history show casing the battle of Law and Chaos between the warriors and Lolth. In the center is a whirlwind that goes to the ceiling. Our Ratcatcher's explore the multiple scenes before stepping towards the whirlwind to investigate it. However they are attacked by one of the armored warriors from the scenes they had just viewed! With a bloody battle our Ratcatcher's manage to fight off the warrior. Fedi patches up the wounded while Na'dia investigates the whirlwind.
The whirlwind reveals after a stone is toss in to be a way to get into a passage above it. Our Ratcatcher's each in turn step into the vortex and are transported up to what is quickly apparent the "True Tomb". Within a final scene depicting a Sphere of Annihilation an ancient piece of magic from the earliest days of creation. Each sphere holds the power to destroy anything it touches. Our Ratcatcher's move towards the sarcophagus and they are met by a projection of Zosiel the warrior who is entombed within. After Axto speaks his name the sarcophagus has a line form on it allowing him to push off the lid. Within are 2 red tipped horns, a circlet of wisdom, and a talisman of the sphere. The very control rod to a sphere of annihilation. The group gathers their loot and returns to town. Here they sell off some of their treasure. The group then returns to The Feral Dog where they discuss their next steps. Here they hear a rumor that Ratcatchers have been going missing at The Doomgrinder, a local lone windmill that sits within the Cairn Hills a day's ride from Cragmire. Our Ratcatcher's also decide to identify the mysterious green worm. They know that Allustan Neff heralded as the smartest man in Cragmire might know what it is.
