Abyss

The Underworld, as it is also commonly referred to. Is a plane of existence where souls that have committed evil are banished for eternal damnation. It is considered the anti-thesis of the Divine Court of The Seven. Each layer of the Abyss. Seven in all, correspond to the sins, Greed, Lust, Wrath, Pride, Sloth, Envy, and Gluttony. Each layer is ruled by a powerful demon lord that embodies their sin in some way. However many of the Demon Lords can quite often share traits from the other sins.
The list of layers and Demon Lords are as follows in order.

• Demon Lord Malcanthet, The Queen of the Succubi, overseeing the Sin of Lust.
• Demon Lord Tiamat, The Dragon Queen, overseeing the Sin of Greed.
• Demon Lord Juiblex, The Faceless Lord, overseeing the Sin of Gluttony.
• Demon Lord Lolth, The Spider Queen, overseeing the Sin of Envy.
• Demon Lord Fraz-Urb'luu, The Lord of Illusions, overseeing the Sin of Sloth.
• Demon Lord Baphmet, The Horned King, overseeing the Sin of Wrath.
• Demon Lord Orcus, The Lord of Undead, overseeing the Sin of Pride.

Those who willingly travel to such a plane of existence, always come out changed in someway and never in a positive way. Many who wander into these layers are rarely able to return back to the material plane.
