Alpha (WIP)

The first land that Canlesiz lived on, with enough resources to support one continent and that's... about it.

Geography

The first continent that the Canlesiz ever inhabited, and the one that the first six Canlesiz were born on, Alpha (known as [insert name here] by the Canlesiz, or "the first land" in English) is very flat geography-wise. Caves are quite common between different settlements. A mountain range - the only one on the continent - runs across the west end of the continent, with cliff-sides hitting up against the edge of the sea.

Fauna & Flora

As it was created to host the first Canlesiz on the planet, Alpha has a large variety of flora and fauna. It's most notable for it's starchy fruits with a similar sour-sweet taste to Earthen citrus fruits. These fruits are very nutritious and can sustain a Canles for about a week on it's own. However, the acidity can be dangerous if consumed in high doses. The fruit (called Rutaron) is still a staple of many dishes and grown in most orchards across the colder parts of the continent. The Romnuchic equivalent of vegetables are not extremely common on Alpha, although some root-style vegetables grow wild near plentiful water sources. As far as animals, there are mostly herbivores, although many species are currently dwindling due to the sheer number of Canlesiz on the continent. The expansion of settlements pushed many species into the hills and the plains between them, but since these hills were later flooded in a huge world-wide flood, several species were left either wiped out or isolated on newly formed islands. The animals who are still alive are either wild or domesticated, with way more domesticated animals, who are living on farms in smaller settlements.

Natural Resources

If you can manage to find a forest, the fruits produced by the trees are a great natural resource, and many species are exclusive to Alpha. Wild roots such as [insert name here] aren't found anywhere else than the southern side of the continents, and these hearty roots are a wide-spread product of Alpha. A deep crimson red clay, sits below the dirt near the coasts of Alpha, which is was used by early settlers on the beaches to make houses and is now used to make a thick, strong concrete that is used in many modern buildings. Fruits from the trees are often preserved and sent to the other continents, or gathered by the locals for daily meals. Large creatures called quarols produce a thick, silky, wool-like substance on their three tails that are used in cloth production.
