Culture

Malumites are a hard people, having to endure nine months out of their year being a harsh winter. Food becomes scarce in these times, and gangs thrive in the lower city. Most people know how to fight and at least fire an autopistol at six years of age to simply stay alive.

History

According to native stories, Malum was founded by Egar Nublade, a Imperial Guard sergeant from an unknown regiment. The world was given to veteran Guardsmen of at the end of the crusade, as a way of repayment to them for their service. Egar Nublade became the first Lord of Malum, and with flak armor and a two-handed blade, fought back the indigenous monstrous hordes that infested the dense forests of the world.

One bastion of civilization was founded, Deireadh an t-Saoghail, known to Administratium records as Malum Primaris. This is the place where the largest amount of forest was able to be chopped and burned, yet many still live out in the forests.

At the tail end of the Blood Wars, it was revealed that the Malum Enforcers were in line with Malax's cause. A swift intervention of the Inquisition put an end to that.

Demography and Population

The population of Malum is centralized into the city of Malum Primaris, the capital of the world. Some remnants of civilization exist in the wilds, but they are not to be depended upon.

Military

The world is protected by the Malum Enforcers, a police force and military merged into one. With the rising crime and poverty, the Enforcers have been forced to militarize more and more to counter the gangs of the undercity.
When the Enforcers get too large, they split 1,200 members off as part of the tithe, and they go on to fight in the Imperial Guard.

Agriculture & Industry

Malum has no agriculture to speak of, being completely dependent upon imports for food. Their industry is small, but they mainly produce consumer goods for the worlds surrounding.
