High Priest Kage Krivanec was born in the Holy City on Kolisk, to lowly priests in the underhive. He would be raised in harsh teachings of the Emperor, and become instilled with religious fervor like no other. Krivanec would attempt to preach to his more unruly brothers and sisters in the underhive, only to be met with beatings and assaults.
Krivanec decided to show his faith in other ways after that. He created a crude hand-flamer from scratch, and would burn any those who would break laws or the Emperor's word. Kage became known as the Torcher, and word of a zealot burning heretics in the underhive quickly spread up to the top. They went down to meet him, and give him a job as a preacher in the higher levels of the city.
Krivanec would quickly rise through the ranks, eventually being voted High Priest, the top preacher and governor of the world. This would last 30 years, until the arrival of a Luther Malax, who took his place by winning over the Church. Kage would speak vehemently against Malax's new ideas, but was forced back into the underhive by those who used to be his friends.
After the end of the Blood Wars and destruction of any true resistance on Kolisk, Krivanec was placed back into power. Since, he has been leading massive purges and executions against all those who threaten the stability of the world, and his power.
