Generation 1 Bullet Points

+ Immortality & Alliance with the Ningyo
  • This is actually before Izamiya became empress, but he's currently immortal due to drinking mermaid cum.
  • + A Fall from Grace in Toshi Kaeru
  • Junonosuke investigates something in Toshi Kaeru and meets Kaeru Masuyo. She attaches herself to him so he doesn't get too deep into the back alleys. They frustrate the hell out of one another, and Junonosuke eventually takes her forcibly in one of the dining rooms where they are arguing. They continue to work together, but now awkwardly, and with a lot of tension.
  • + The War of the Dark Oracle, & Courtship of the Empress
  • Hide shows up as Empress' Castellan
  • Several men play for the Empress' hand, but the Ikoma's heir refuses to make a play, despite his parents insistence; Horus wins, as he's gay and seems easy to make a deal with.
  • Raishen makes a deal with Oyumi's parents to marry her at Nagisa's suggestion and arrangement.
  • The War of the Dark Oracle starts in earnest at the northern border at a time nobody is prepared to make war (winter season). News is brought from the front via Shugenja.
  • Naomi leads the war, while a hit team rushes toward the Dark Oracle to execute him. Miyukatsu and Takehiko both are competing for the honor, but Takehiko gets there first? (can't remember; might have been Miyukatsu) The Oracle is struck down by the young Otomo Bushi.
  • Many Yobanjin are brainwashed and used as tools. Reisuka makes it her mission to take as many men and women alive. Utilizing a contingent of Dragon bushi, she proceeds to start taking people off the battlefield alive. She meets 2 Naga, and one of them is a Pearlcaster, and he has the ability to free the men and women from the influence of the oracle for short periods of time.
  • Sara becomes tainted in the fights
  • The success of the war is decisive and quick, and the heroes are brought to the Winter Court of the Empress for acknowledgment. These include Reisuka, Miyukatsu, the two Naga, Naomi & Otomo Takehiko
  • Otomo Takehiko and Hantei Kanpeki meet here, and Kanpeki is immediately infatuated.
  • Near the end of the court, an attack on the court by a named oni lord is thwarted by miyukatsu, naked, in a bath. The action is so impressive that she gets an audience with the empress, and requests to be acknowledged as a fortune of heroism. This wish, although odd, is granted predicated on her performing another task of equal value, and she sets out to do so.
  • + The Mantis Clan shift & the Alliance of the Tsuno
  • Nagisa forces the Mantis clan's champion to give her title to Raishen by finding out she is hiding that she is tainted. It is presented as a gift, but it is actually a threat.
  • The Marriage of Raishen & Oyumi
  • The Kidnapping & Duel; Oyumi as Empress, Sachiko as Empress escort
  • + Kanpeki's council of watchers
  • The Spider clan fully established, Izamiya assigns a council to help the newly-founded great clan and to watch the possibly volatile child in case he decides to get any ideas about imperial ascension.
  • The assigned members are Otomo Sayaka and Senzan, whom Izamiya trusts to be level-headed advisors; Bayushi Tadashi, who is a loyal spy; Mirumoto Kimito, who seems like she'd fit in and be comfortable, but is also a helpful investigator; and Otomo Takehiko, whom Izamiya expects will be an overt pain in the ass for Kanpeki, as the boy hates the whole idea of the spider clan and what it stands for.
  • Shenanigans afoot. Kanpeki is overjoyed to have the little Otomo in his court. Awakane, Kanpeki's brother, hits on Kimito as she's coming into town and gets shot down because she is a lesbian. Kimito falls hard for Sayaka. Senzan falls hard for Tadashi. It's not long before the whole council is fucking /someone else/ in the court, although Takehiko's is less than willing at first, his tsundere affections start to grow quickly.
  • + A Timeline without the Nothing
  • Deep in Yomi, in another timeline, we focus on Homura, Mareko, Yoshiro, and Tomoriki. They meet at a Topaz championship, and Homura wins as a strange contender from a minor clan, and stops a Scorpion-clan coup during it.
  • The four of them start traveling together as Emerald Magistrates shortly after, with several adventures under their belts as they grow from young samurai. Yoshiro and Mareko fall in love along the way, while Homura and Tomoriki become very close friends.
  • Homura, seeking fame and glory, forces the four of them to travel from place to place at the slightest whiff of trouble. She starts to get into angry confrontations with the Great Yoritomo, thinking him stealing her place in the celestial order.
  • In Phoenix lands, they come upon a plot targeting the Oracle of Void's mother. Instead of seeking backup, Homura instigates a fight that she, due to her ridiculous amount of numeranai (magic items) and a very well-placed sneak attack, manages to eke out a victory from, with the 3 others coming in as backup at the last minute. Her enemy flees through a portal of darkness, and, Homura, being a reckless idiot, falls in after them. She catches her prey beaten, trying to heal, and executes him and his would-be savior.
  • Homura is left alone in the Shadowlands and proceeds to try and find her way out without acquiring taint. It's a messy situation, in which her numeranai's sacred protection is the only thing keeping her from falling. She saves some kidnapped men and women while passing through a fortress, and they scatter. She continues through and runs face-to-face with the Crimson Flower, who makes a copy of her, but otherwise does not engage her.
  • The final wood before escaping the Shadowlands has a creature of illusion inside of it. This Oni hunts and eats people. Homura escapes it at first, only to be greeted by an aspect of Fu Leng himself. He offers her a gift, which she refuses, but this armor appears where she sleeps every day for the rest of her time in life.
  • She comes into the edge of Shinomen at winter, with much of her armor broken and no tent. She almost gets into a fight with a Naga, mistaking it for an Oni when it is trying to help her. She's rescued by Toritaka Minako, a brief friend from her travels. After that, she spends a few months recovering before she is reunited with her team, and they, plus Minako, go back into the Illusion forests and kill the Oni there.
  • In their travels, they come across Reiji, who is off avoiding his wife--who happens to be Tomohiro's elder sister, and hates him. He attaches himself to the group as a ronin hanger-on, and quickly starts to fall for Tomohiro, and vice-versa.
  • Shortly thereafter, Mareko gets a vision from Togashi, and the four of them travel into Yume-do by way of a gate in the Shadowlands. They are told that they have spared this world from the curse of the Nothing, but in order to keep it that way, they must be banished from it. While they accept, Homura is devastated; her heroism will go down unknown, and she must start all over anew in a place without even her name.
  • They emerge in the Rokugan under Empress Toturi III, Izamiya, and proceed to start trying to get their names back. Yoshiro is refused by the lion--the Matsu are in too much shit to accept strangers, but adopted by the Shika at Homura's request when she is acknowledged into their clan. Mareko is easily reacknowledged into the Togashi, as his tattoos speak for themselves. Tomohiro is able to get his name back by demonstrating his shugenja abilities, and Reiji earns his name back some time later in the phoenix civil war.
  • + The Courtship of the Hantei
  • Otomo Misaki comes to marry Kanpeki, and ends up falling in love with his brother in the meantime. They arrange to be married, but only politically. The family dynamic in the Hantei household gets strange and messy, especially as this makes Otomo Takehiko the new heir of the Otomo family.
  • Meanwhile Nagisa engages Reisuka to a nice young man named Kasuga Basho. While he presents as a Kasuga, it comes out during the engagement that he is a rabbit-spirit impersonating a dead man in hopes to woo Reisuka. Nagisa is fine with this, as long as he knows how to run the Yasuki family properly and will treat her baby with respect and love. They are married shortly after.
  • + The Phoenix Clan Civil War
  • The Phoenix clan have been locked in hostilities since before the new Empress ascended the throne, but it's descended into all-out civil war, and one half is using Oni.
  • Homura & crew prove themselves in this war, and Reiji earns his Kaito last name, as the Kaito family gets acknowledged as a full family when the civil war dies down. He asks only that he be able to marry Tomoriki, which he is granted permission to do, despite their sex. The civil war has left many orphans to adopt, and the Transfeminine head of the new Kaito family, Kaito Aino, is less concerned with traditional roles than most Phoenix.
  • + The Rise and Fall of Kalima
  • The first shakes of the war of Kalima are felt by the Yasuki, who were trying to establish more trade routes with the Ivory Kingdoms. Tomi comes across a horrid sacrifice to make a giant monstrosity, and is able to subdue it, but is shortly overwhelmed and rescued by Yoritomo Vihaan, whose Mantis trade routes are more normal. The two of them get first wind of a marching army by some of the terrorized locals, and a cult at its head that has raised its deity and tied it to Jigoku.
  • This information is delivered to the Empress, who quickly finds that he needs to identify a worthy Shogun, as he knows little to nothing about war. Utaku Naomi is named as such, as the foremost commander among the Imperial legions. She prepares for war and calls all capable heroes to the front.
  • They drag Kalima to the plains above evil, where the war is fought. Many Shugenja and Bushi are sacrificed that day, but each group tactically does their job, and Kalima is defeated, but blights the earth where she falls.
  • The larger and less deadly is headed off at the Kaiu wall, where the crab are backed up by lion and mantis and crane alike to stop the invasion.
  • The Heroes of Kalima are each granted a gift. Among them, Miyukatsu, gains her acknowledgement as Fortune. Mareko asks to be married to Yoshiro at Winter court in a grand ceremony with the Empress present.
  • This war puts into perspective how little time she has, and Naomi and Juri both get pregnant over winter so as not to lose any more than one war-season. With the help of a Shugenja, Naomi gives birth to quadruplets, but one dies during birth; Xieng rushes the child to the Naga and makes a deal to save her by putting some of his soul inside her.
  • + The Realm of Thwarted Destiny
  • Miya, Yugiro & Genmei all make their way out of the Realm of Thwarted Destiny on their own merit, arriving back in Ningendo just in time for Miya to get yeeted into the realm of gods and fortunes on account of being named the Fortune of Heroes.
  • While up there for her short stint, she gets in an argument with Fu Leng, and he challenges her to a duel and uses her divine ability to kill himself and get back into the reincarnation pool.
  • She returns to Ningen-do, free to move about, and completely untainted now.
  • + The Second City
  • The Ivory Kingdoms grants Rokugan an honorary city on their shore for established diplomacy and trade after the Mantis help them rebuild. The Second City boasts a district for each clan and the Ivory Champion & Chancellor position is established. Built on the bones of a city devastated by the cult, it hosts what remains of its population, as well, and is a strange melting pot of cultures and traditions.
  • Nagisa retires here, and Tomi and Vihaan are married here.

  • Naomi and her team go into the Burning Sands after them to rescue him, and find also that the Yodotai have kidnapped a young naga. The Yodotai are run down and massacred and the Great Khan and Naga saved, but the torture he endured has left him with few fingers and less one eye. Naomi is enraged.
  • Knowing that she cannot march an entire army to the Yodotai's home and win, she instead marches an army to a much closer satellite of the Senpet empire, held captive by the Yodotai for a decade now. Her army destroys the Yodotai stationed there and gives the Senpet back their freedom, but Naomi is dissatisfied. She returns home with a boiling anger in her bones toward the Yodotai for what they did to her clan's leader.
  • + The Emperor Finds Love
  • An attempt to control the Emperor through means of a lover results in Horus meeting Taikano, a young cat spirit who is enslaved to a member of the Ide family by way of blackmail.
  • Horus, a keen politician, finds the threads and cuts them, freeing Taikano and acknowledging him as a samurai. They give birth to one child, but Kohaku refuses to do it more than once, as the experience was unforgiving.
  • Kaito Reiji & Asahina Tomoriki adopt 3 orphans and raise them as their own.
