SW Session 43: Like Moths to the Flame.
General Summary
After landing in Greddac on the back of Ironrod the party wanted to act fast. They were desperate to get to the Shadowfell to save Sturt Oakenshield, Wurm and kill Nightmare.
They met a gladiator called Sim Paul who works for Jaspher The Flame who happily gave them directions to his masters headquarters. On the way to the dragon skull in which the leader of the Ember Scars resides, Brokk Stonefist was offered some mushrooms by an old Goblin. Brokk being Brokk bought the mushrooms and immediently ate it becoming a very confident dwarf.
The team found Jaspher in his skull poised and waiting for the Shadow Team, he was excited to see the team who had visted the Auvor Thull Labyrinth and lived to tell the tale. But struck upon a number of bargains.
Jaspher would forgive them for their stealing of his crawler in return for a map of the labyrinth. Jaspher would also fix the ring of plane shift should he get it back once they have finished with it. He would also craft two new weapons using Leone Laponis'. Brokk's battle axe and Ozymandias' final mercy would be used to be the base of the new weapons. They also paid a lot of money for the privalage as well as Aegon the Watchful Horror's brain. He also informed them at a druid known as Branch Juniper had visited the town.
That evening they went to The Long Rest, Greddac. to finally get a good night sleep after the dessert trip. That night, as Ravak slept in the hall the team has a troubling sleep. Long, was visited by his fey horse, Max. However, max claimed to be a guardian of the fey watching over Long. The guardian claimed that the trip to the shadowfell was not in Long's fate and warned him from straying from the path. Brokk felt the effects of his Brewers Brew use and noticed one of his fingers had clawed and he had absent mindedly carved a picture of the The Soul Snatcher in the table. Ted Burnstien wet himself.
In the morning they went to Zaldris the Shade's shop and were almost gifted a number of items in exchange for their actual crawler. This included a couple of tomes, health potions and a pearl of power.
