SW Session 19: Two Archdukes, One Head.
General Summary
The Shadow Team wake up in Lady Amy Warricks room refreshed and ready for truce speech promised later.
As they head through the city they pass closed businesses and empty streets as everyone is headed for the Blessed square ready to hear Archduke Blandia Betto speak to the masses. Ted Burnstien transforms into a cat and travels the roof topes to try and discover the location of the possible assassin. Meanwhile Leone Laponis tries to find his Silent Wind brother Sturt Oakenshield. After questioning the captain of the guard Jay The Lucky Sturt arrived and was happy to see Long giving him access to everything but the palace.
Bhul paid some poorer folk some gold to keep an eye out for anything unusual and Long summoned a horse to help them ride to a bell tower in which it was suspected that Uldron could be hiding.
Brokk Stonefist and Ted Burnstien raced to the bell tower to try and stop Uldron. After avoiding the traps on the ladders Uldron invited them up to the tower as they claimed they were there to assasinate the Archduke. Uldron told them that he must fufil his job and protect the Archduke. Though confusing as it was Brokk was ready to kill Uldron and visa vera but the lizardfolk succeeded in downing the dwarf. If it wasnt for Ted summonning lightening Uldron would have escaped. His charred body fell from the tower killing him instantly. As this was happening there was chaos in the square...
Bhul needed to create a distraction and decided to start a ruccus in the middle of the square cuaing the people and guards to focus on him. Meanwhile Long climbed up the side of the palace building and cast 'Hold Person' on Helver Stonefist. However, due to a poor stealth Long had been seen by Lucius Sunspot who fearing Long was an assasin cast counterspell and watched Long closely. Long pointed towards the bell tower and screamed 'Assassin!'. This caused Sunspot to create a barrier in front of the balcony and gave Helvar the opportunity to kill Archduke Sven the Sworn.. He decapitated the Archduke of the reds and the guards on the balcony began fighting and killing. All whilst Helvar teleported away.
