Session 05
General Summary
The party left Belzur's tower and spent a few days travelling back to Endhome via the main road.
Elijah's nightmares were getting more intense as they travelled and began to feature a beautiful
woman living in Endhome somewhere. As the group returned to Endhome Elijah morphed into the
gentle-hobbit, Elijah Scattergood, purveyor of fine wines. It seems this Elijah was his alter ego for
living in the city. The question was: who was the true halfling?
Upon returning to the city they immediately visited Bragger Bondhome. There they collected the
500 gold imperials which they were owed for Fell Tarmic's head and as Drax's axe didn't glow
they were able to prove Bragger was not a demonologist. Next they visited Gilda. Here they found
she was getting pushed to leave town by various thugs. She told the party that she had seen one of
the thugs guarding a warehouse last night. Also she said that there was some noble (Lynott)
around who was looking for his kid brother. He would help with the thugs then Gilda would help
looking for his brother.
The group set out for the docks and scoped out the warehouse. It looked empty. So they returned
that night. There were 4 guards outside 2 warehouses. Elijah did some reconnaisance and heard
slaves being sold to "Captain Anton Waverley". He noted the Hammerhead moored in the harbour
but looking ready to depart at a moment's notice. Reporting to his companions they decided there
was not a moment to lose so they ambushed the guards. Battle broke out.
Despite the best efforts of Dorian and Sabertooth, Captain Waverley escaped back to the
Hammerhead and the ship set sail - although it took a large number of their sailors to put out the
fires Dorian had generated on the ship and the Hammerhead would bare those scars for years to
come. And one of the jetties was burned to the ground. Meanwhile Drax was in full force and
decapitated many guards. The group captured 2 priestesses, supposedly of Wee Jas, but they made
Drax's axe glow and made reference to the Demon Prince. The priestesses were interrogated and
much information was gleaned about the temple of Wee Jas actually being just a front and it being
full of worshippers of the Demon Prince. They also talked about the Mistress, Embril Aloustinai
who was in charge of everything. Drax beheaded them. They quizzed many priosners including
Camero, Lynott's half brother and Rutu of Nubia, getting a good idea of the layout of the temple.
The next day they were all summoned to see Bragger to explain "massacre" at the docks. They
told him of the slave ring and demonologists at the Church of the Raven Queen. He agreed they
could go to investigate further. Dorian finished comprehending Bestius Anima and was able to
make Sabretooth speak. Lynott bumped into the scary noble lady (Embril) in Heaven's Gate but
didn't challenge her. At night the heroes began a surgical strike on the Church of Wee Jas. They
picked the main lock on the front door and burst in. They killed 4 guards without being heard,
after over hearing them talking about Elan Kanto summoning a demon this night. Deeper into the
temple they could hear a ritual being performed. They tried to smash the door down but it was
held with magic. Eventually they broke the door down just as Mistress Kanto summoned a
demonic ape into the party's midst. A huge battle raged in the temple.
It was looking grim for the party...
