Vango
Vincent (a.k.a. The Painter)
With a knife in one hand and a spiked club in the other, he sees before him a vision- a vision of beauty, of love, of pain, of sorrow, of joy, of mystery, of life, of death... He sees it all- of course he does. It's always been there- how could others be so foolish not to see it? He doesn't know- all he knows is that somebody has to do the right thing and bring out its essence in some way so that the rest of the world can understand- to see what he sees. He's a genius, a maestro. Only he knows the secret; only he has the artistic touch. Whatever miracles lie within that magnificent imagination of his must be shared with the world- one way or another. His paintings are poetry, his brushstrokes are symphonies in themselves!
Vango has a vision for a masterpiece- one the whole world will be able to see. All he needs is his paint. Lots of red paint.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Vango is very muscular like a body-builder, but has the dexterity and gentle touch of a master craftsman. He is covered in scars and often suffers work-related injuries such as a severed left ear, but only otherwise usually has bloodshot eyes from intense staring and his refusal to blink his eyes. That being said, he often suffers from nonsensical hallucinations.

Personal history
For his entire life, Vincent had been but a child adopted into the ranks of other Grouper artists. He spent his entire life studying the masterpieces that dotted his home turf, and worked hard to master the craft of painting himself. He wasn't always as massive and menacing as he is currently, though; in the past, he was quite the twig. Many other painters would take his paints and supplies, so he found it necessary to understand how to take back what belonged to him in order to achieve his vision. Anybody who crossed him, he beat to a pulp with his spiked baseball bat, chopped to pieces with his large butcher's knife, and made their remains into his signature red paint.
Supposedly, one group of unlucky survivors trying like fools to take a shortcut through the district crossed paths with him and tried to run him over in their rusty van, and broke his face doing so. Even so, he chased down the perps with his face still busted in and slaughtered them all, taking them apart piece by piece and painting a mural of their screaming faces in their gore. He claims that he needed to rid the world of the van that destroyed his identity, and thus swore to destroy all motor vehicles he came across with his art, thus claiming the name "Vango-" shortened by others to mean "the Van, the Car, the Bike, the Bus, and All Other Motorized Vehicles Must Go."
Education
Vango studied art under a few mentors, but never pursued any formal training with them. Instead, he preferred to learn by observing existing art and copying techniques from them.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Vango is renowned as one of the most popular and famous artists of all of Group 14621, though also one of the most feared. He has many masterpieces in the district- specifically ones such as Scarry Night, the Knife Cafe, Gunflowers, and Die-rises.
Intellectual Characteristics
Most of Vango's subject matter involves some type of gory scene littered with weapons and massacre to contrast against the normal murals of flora and fauna. Any flora he depicts usually includes some type of imagery of death or deadly weapons, and any fauna he depicts is usually skeletal or rendered with horrifying visages to show how imposing they truly are. Vango sees beauty in annihilation, and thinks that the best way to praise his gods in his worship is to render them with images of death and destruction, and to help deliver that very death and destruction in the creation of his pieces. Though he mainly paints, he also is known to work in sculpture- preferring to work with dismemberd body parts of his victims. He also strongly believes that industrial machines and weaponry are counter-intuitive to the words that are preached to the Groupers, and seeks to destroy these machines and their operators whenever he can, converting them into beautiful sculptures and canvases with their remains.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
Vango's motivations are simply to capture whatever vision comes to him. If he has an idea, he pursues it obsessively, and must find a way to render that image in some sort of artwork.

Social
Social Aptitude
Wealth & Financial state
Vango doesn't have a single piece of value to his name other than his raw talents and abilities to make beautiful art or to fight the battles that others don't want to. As a result, he is often seen as a vagrant and a wandering beast of Group 14621, much like a bear wandering the woods. He often doesn't affiliate with others and doesn't take debts, though he will always take payments to do art pieces or jobs that involve his level of violence in forms such as paints and pigments. Other than that, he feels little need for many other materials other than his other art supplies and something to eat- be it found from a dumpster or offered from a person looking to stay on his good side.
