The Machine
The Machine is the lifeline of Yeast Man's- the guts that power its body, the veins that draws forth its lifeblood. It is the beast that lives in the belly of the building, and chugs away with blaze and blade alike from sunrise to sundown. It consumes whatever meat and spices are brought to it from all across the apocalypse and regurgitates the most delicious food you could ever imagine. The Machine both taketh and giveth, and works only to feed those who feed it.
The Machine will devour everything that there is to devour, consume all there is to consume. And, when it does, the world will rejoice- for there is always plenty to eat.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
The machine operates using three separate tracks for different kinds of meat products- one for ground meat, one for jerky, and one for corned meat. Most meat is marinated both before processing for an hour and after processing for at least another 24 hours in special vats. The ground meat track feeds all kinds of meat chunks down a long track of grinders of varying sizes that get finer and finer along the track, then passed through to a pneumatic device that presses the ground meat into large blocks. The jerky track processes meat in a slower process through rotary slicers, then dunks the meat into vats to to marinate for a day, and finally hangs and passes it through a rolling rack to be smoked for half a day. Finally, the corned meat track drenches and cures meat chunks in a vat of brine, dumps them in a boiler after weeks of curing, then strings them up to hang and dry on racks.
