Too bad the Brainblaster defies all logic and has a mind of its own! The Brainblaster is a rusty, makeshift pistol that only holds one round. That's right, a single bullet. No wonder most people who catch a glimpse of this weapon pass it off as some broken knockoff. But those who have seen this weapon in action realize the immense power hidden within. The wielder must open their mind to the maelstrom as they pull the trigger, and they're affinity to it (along with a bit of luck) will determine the weapon's effects. Average luck will yield you a decent shot like any normal gun. Good luck can see the bullet curve along invisible maelstrom waves to the target's vital organs, or somehow cause your target's weapon to jam. Piss poor luck can have the gun backfire on you, or have you struck by lightning from a cloud that just appeared out of nowhere.
The effects of the Brainblaster are entirely unknown each time you pull the trigger, but it is still a deadly weapon in the hands of those who can manipulate the maelstrom well. This infamous pistol typically doesn't stay with it's owner long, for various reasons, and is constantly scavenged off the corpses of random travelers who see potential in the weapon. It was last seen somewhere in North Web.
