Rhino Armor
Rhino Armor
Occasionally, Rhinos pass away through natural deaths. A small ceremony is held and their skin is removed. It is then turned into an armor that is worn by the primates during battle. This is not done in a crude nor insensitive manner. This is done in order to respect the faithful rhino and allow the spirit of the rhino to continue to protect The Kingdom, even following death.
The hardy exterior is excellent at propelling attacks. Because it is incredibly thick and durable, even bullets have trouble penetrating. However, it is not hard like a metal. This makes it more flexible so apes are able to have more movement. It is also on the quieter side, allowing the art of sneaking to still be a viable option.
It is often dyed in color to blend in with the surrounding foliage. The skin of one rhinos passing can create up to five complete sets of armor. Each set consists of a headgear, chest plate, and leggings. Additionally, gloves are sometimes crafted. Gloves are more difficult to create so there aren’t as many.
