The Man of No Land Jonathan Holden

A man stuck on the edge of life and death. He wanders the edge of Wedgeward in hopes of finding peace. A man stuck on the edge of life and death. He wanders the edge of Wedgeward in hopes of finding peace. During a time before the end of the world, he would sit on his phone, go to and from school with all of his friends. Being only 14 at the time, there was a constant dread of having to go to school. Do homework. Do anything other than what he wanted to do.
Then one day, everything was gone.
All those friends. All those bus rides. A sense of dread filled the pit of his stomach. Phone lines went down. Cars stopped moving. Everything was...in penultimate destruction.
The first few days post-apocolyptia, Larder patiently waited for his parent's return. To no avail, he was ultimately alone.
So he adapted.
Once the world was habitable once again, Larder found his way to scavenging through old stores and harvesting water from broken pipelines. He grew, changed, and adapted to an unkind and unfeeling world. Any friends he might have had were gone. Any and all connection to those he knew in Henry-Etta's West were now severd and scorned with tensions boiling over from a time since past.
But now, he wanders the wastes. The No-Man's Land between Wedgeward and Henry-Etta's West. He does have residence in Wedgeward, as that was where he was born, but he doesn't consider it his home. None of this is. All he can do is ride out the apocalypse and defend himself at whatever the cost.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

He is a frail and weak old man on the outside, but could probably lift a car if he really needed to. He keeps up his health in his old age and does his best to keep it up should the worst come.

Body Features

His tanned and wrinkled skin resembles that of worn leather. There are patches of sunspots and moles from so much sun exposure post-bombing.

His facial features are quite thin and crusty thanks to the years of wear and tear.

Physical quirks

He has a notable limp that can be seen from a distance, but that's the last thing he lets slow him down.

Specialized Equipment

He specializes in long-range guns and hand-to-hand combat. After years of practice, he's quite the solid shot from a far distance and is definitely a force to be reckoned with. His current hand-to-hand fighting is strong, but his body slows down with him and it wears him out more than it did when he was young.

Larder Holden (aka Jonathan Holden) was born July 18, 2007 to a mother, father, and older brother. They were a small family that got along decently. He and his brother fought constantly since the day he was born. It never changed as they got older, but it was still something that kept them whole as a family.
He was headed to his freshman year of highschool when the bombs dropped. The bus stopped. People scattered and tried to find shelter. He hid under the seats and waited. He kept looking at his phone as lines were cut. When things went quiet, he ran home only to find nobody there. His home was shaken to the core. Floors and walls were collapsed. And he was completely and utterly alone.

He doesn't speak in any kind of long or complex sentences, but sort of keeps to short bursts of words and sentences at best.

Morality & Philosophy

He thinks one day this will all end and the world will return to how it was almost 50 years ago. Sadly, there isn't much keeping him onto that kind of hope other than pure spite and denial about what is going on around him.
He doesn't condone what the gangs that run around Wedgeward do, but he also doesn't see them as his problem since they rarely come as south or even try to cross into no-man's land. If they do, he usually gets good sights and takes out whoever is coming. Worst case scenario, he hides out and waits for them to pass.
