The Beryl Riot

Civil action

18th-21st Beryl 1710

The Beryl Riot of 1710 was an uprising among the Artisans of Copper Town. The Artisans were petitioning for the disbandment of the "lazy tax", a fine that was placed on them if they did not complete their work within the week of their commission. This had effectively led to a 7-day work week, giving Artisans no rest day to recuperate.
