Sakaravak, the Goddess of Devotion

Sakaravak, also known as the Grey Lady or Lady Kara, is a deity that reigns over the domains of Ambition, Arcana, and Knowledge. Ascended from the mortal realm, Sakaravak symbolizes the quest for power, the mysteries of the arcane, and the pursuit of knowledge.
"My disciples are driven by the unquenchable thirst for knowledge and power. To them, the world is an endless ocean of mysteries, waiting to be unraveled and mastered."
— Sakaravak (The Genesis Codex)
Her followers, often referred to as Loreseekers, come from various walks of life but are united by their relentless pursuit of wisdom, magic, and personal growth. Scholars dedicated to the collection and dissemination of knowledge, wizards striving to unlock arcane secrets, and ambitious individuals seeking to better themselves all pay homage to Sakaravak.   The temples dedicated to Sakaravak, known as the Halls of Wisdom, are places of learning and reflection. They serve as libraries, research centers, and schools, fostering an environment of intellectual growth and magical discovery. These Halls are usually bustling with activity, filled with individuals engrossed in books, magical experiments, or heated debates.   The Loreseekers see Sakaravak as a testament to the potential of mortals. They believe that through relentless pursuit of Knowledge and the harnessing of Arcana, coupled with unyielding Ambition, they too can achieve greatness. They devote themselves to their deity not just through worship, but also through their daily quests for understanding, personal growth, and the expansion of their capabilities.

Holidays

As the rebirth of nature unfurled across Eroth, with the arrival of Spring came an event cherished by all: the Festival of Devotion. On the tenth day of the Rebirth season, an air of anticipation enveloped the towns and cities, from the bustling heart of the kingdom to the humblest of hamlets. Love was not only in the air; it was celebrated in every corner of the land. The bards tuned their lutes and poets their quills, ready to sing praises of romance and companionship that were potent enough to stir even the stoniest of hearts.   Indeed, love could blossom and commitments could be made any day of the year, yet the Festival of Devotion held a certain charm, a magic that was hard to resist. This was the day the goddess Kara extended her divine blessings, infusing every relationship with a promise of fruitfulness and harmony. Those who chose to pledge their vows on this day were believed to share a bond graced by her benevolent gaze.   In the city squares, flowers blossomed early as if in anticipation, forming colorful carpets underfoot. Strings of vibrant decorations adorned the streets, and music played from dawn till dusk. The laughter of children mingled with the whispers of sweet nothings, filling the air with joy and promise. As the day wore on, couples professed their love in beautiful ceremonies, their smiles radiant under Kara's blessing.   While young lovers pledged their devotion to each other, kings and nobles saw a different opportunity in the sanctity of the day. They gathered in grand halls to forge alliances, the significance of the day serving as a celestial witness to their pledges. The threat of invoking Kara's wrath loomed over them, adding a layer of sincerity and urgency to their commitments. Each signed treaty and agreed pact bore the mark of the goddess's sacred day, a promise of unity and shared prosperity.   As the sun set, the merriment continued. The streets were filled with laughter and cheer, the joyful peal of bells marking the union of lovers, and the resonant gavel in the king's court sealing the fate of kingdoms. In every corner of Eroth, hearts were entwined, and commitments were made under the radiant umbrella of the Festival of Devotion. It was a day of love and unity, a day when the power of devotion touched every soul, and Eroth danced in the beauty of it all.
