Noch, the God of Light
Noch (pronounced Knock), the Lesser Deity under Aaos, governs the domains of Arcana, Light, and Protection. Often depicted with a staff radiating magical energy, Noch represents the arcane mysteries, the guiding light that illuminates darkness, and the unwavering shield of protection.
"My followers are the torchbearers of enlightenment, the shield against ignorance. In their pursuit of arcane wisdom, they light up the dark corners of the world, protecting it from the shadows of the unknown."His followers, known as Flame Keepers or Keepers of the White Flame, are a diverse group composed of wizards, scholars, guardians, and those who seek enlightenment. Wizards and scholars strive to unravel the mysteries of the arcane, drawing from Noch's domain of Arcana. Guardians, devoted to protecting their communities, pay homage to Noch in their pursuit of safety and security, an echo of his domain of Protection. Lastly, those who seek enlightenment follow his domain of Light, looking for guidance in their journey towards wisdom and truth. Temples dedicated to Noch, known as the Sanctum of the White Flame, are places of knowledge and sanctuary. These temples serve as libraries, magical academies, and places of refuge. They are often filled with scholars immersed in their studies, wizards honing their craft, and weary travelers seeking safety. The Keepers of the White Flame honor Noch through their pursuit of knowledge, their vow to protect, and their quest for enlightenment. They see Noch as a guiding light, a beacon in their journey towards understanding the mysteries of the universe, offering safety in a world full of dangers. Their devotion is not just an act of worship but a lifelong commitment to uphold the values of Arcana, Light, and Protection in their daily lives.

Holidays
As the first warmth of summer begins to unfurl across the land of Ro'Kroya, a certain serenity descends upon the city of Sora. This tranquility marks the advent of Summerfell's eighth day, a day dedicated to the Lesser Deity Noch, the wizard ascended to divine stature. It's the day of the Festival of Lanterns, an intimate celebration carried out by the followers of Noch, who have come to be known as the White Flame.
Though the White Flame's numbers are modest, their faith is fervent, and their dedication shines brilliantly on this sacred day. It is their ambition to see the birth of Noch celebrated as a holy day throughout the lands, and it is with this aspiration that they prepare for the Festival of Lanterns.
As the day unfolds, the members of the White Flame traverse the winding streets of Sora, each bearing a multitude of lanterns. Handcrafted and imbued with a touch of Noch's magic, these lanterns are as much a symbol of their faith as they are an invitation for others to partake in the celebration. With reverence and shared anticipation, they place the lanterns around the city, at each intersection, on every windowsill, and most importantly, at the foot of Noch's statue in the city center, a colossal representation of their patron deity.
The city, by dusk, transforms into a tableau of flickering lights. The first flame is lit at the statue of Noch, a tradition upheld by the eldest member of the White Flame. It's a moment of silent communion, a collective breath held in reverence, before the light spreads, each flame a beacon symbolizing Noch's wisdom and the followers' dedication.
Once lit, the lanterns remain so until the festival's close. Their ethereal glow illuminates the city through the night, each flicker a testament to Noch's power, a silent prayer for his guidance. The city of Sora, under the dance of a thousand lantern lights, becomes a place of enchantment, each corner whispering tales of the ascended wizard.
While the Festival of Lanterns is a celebration dedicated to Noch, it also serves as a plea for unity and faith from the White Flame. They hope that the sight of the city aglow under the radiance of countless lanterns might inspire more hearts to turn towards their patron deity. Until then, they continue their devout vigil, lighting up the summer night in honor of Noch.
