Arch-Shadow Marshal

The highest rank in the Andoalian Chruch of Nyra, the Arch-Shadow Marshal ostensibly wields absolute authority in Andol but in practice, the High Synod is made up of those with the rank of Veil General. The members of the High Synod hold great power but cannot publicly oppose the nation's leader, preferring to work in the shadows as befits servants of Nyra. Naturally, the Matriarch/Patriarch-Marshal can override the recommendation of the High Synod at varying degrees of expense depending on how many Synod members oppose the decision. Few people rise to lead the Church without a good deal of political savvy and the current Arch-Shadow Marshal, Arabella Arano, outsmarted many of her political opponents who thought her youth would make her a pawn. However, she has proven more than skilled at handling the High Synod.
