At 32 years old Arabella might seem fully human but close up she displays unmistakable hints of her hobgoblin ancestry, traits she proudly highlights. Standing 4' 10" the Matriarch-Marshal has embarrassed more than a few who have mistaken her stature for weakness. Early in her training, Arabella's superiors noted that she wielded more power as a priest of Nyra than anyone had seen in generations. This power coupled with her martial skill, strategic acumen, and scholastic prowess gave the young Arabella everything she needed to rise quickly through the ranks of the church until she was made a personal aide to her predecessor Arch-Shadow Marshal Victor Kragvar. This appointment placed Arabella before powerful Church leaders, some of whom saw her potential and others who mistakenly believed she would make an excellent pawn if elevated to head the Church. Those in the latter category quickly realized their mistake when Arabella was voted the Arch-Shadow Marshal Marshal in 197 YL. Openly a moderate able to unite progressive and hardline Church leaders Arabella secretly favored the hardline stance for most of her career but revelations revealed to her after her ascension to lead the Church have caused her to doubt the hardline position so vehemently that she realizes she faces a troubled road to changing the Church.
