PART 2: About Magic
In the world, the main source of magic is an element called Kadra. This element is for some the essence of life, given that it has been proven that Kadra is also the main reason for the atmosphere in the rings.
Kadra is present in the ambient mostly as a gas form, a bit like oxygen in the air... and just like it, it can be condensed in to liquid or even solids, mainly through pressure and sometimes temperature.
As Kadra is quite dense of an element, it is found mostly in the main inner ring of the world. However this element also falls towards the mainland in ways of rain or snow. This basically means that the more Kadra is available within the ring, because its presence is not uniform, the more its impact has in the environment around it. In lush forest, jungles, in places where is plenty nature to be around, the more Kadra is available both in the air, and maybe even in liquid form. In the great mountains that some of the pieces of the ring make, Kadra is found on its mountaintops, which creates fantastic magical storms. Wind and Rain is the main conductor of Kadra... therefore a desert or wasteland which will not have much Kadra available in the environment, will still have traces of it in the wind.
This presence also makes nature and the weather much more unpredictable. In a lush jungle, sometimes a firestorm may start raging because of too much Kadra in the air. Or in a lush forest, you may find that squirrels are teleporting from tree to tree instead of jumping around.
Kadra is also a building element of life. People may be born with a higher concentration of it, and become sorcerers. Or maybe the gods have blessed individuals with a variation of this element that gives them some type of clerical power (Paladins and Clerics are certainly benefiting from this action).
Kadra also seeps towards the mainland of the world, which basically creates a higher magically-dense area around the ring. However it has been known that sometimes Chunks of Kadra fall or have fallen from the ring towards the surface. Creating a strange micro-cosmos, think of a magical oasis in the middle of a desert.
