Skydrift

High above the ground are large magically floating islands cast adrift in the great expanse of the skies. These islands are collectively referred to as the Skydrift, but the term has also come to refer to any space in the open sky. 
The floating islands that make up the Skydrift's land mass float aimlessly at varying speeds and altitudes, it has even been observed that the islands will make evasive maneuvers, albeit slowly, to avoid obstacles.
