Power of Names

There is old wisdom in never revealing your name to a stranger. Many power beings from fey to demons and even mages can leverage an inherent power of a name. This power how ever is proportional to how much the name is a true name. What defines a true name versus lesser names is not entirely known, but scholars have found that the more a person identifies with a name internally, the more it becomes a true name.
