Honmatsu

On the islands that make up the Yumenoshima chain, is the country of Honmatsu. Up until relatively recently they had a powerful conqueror as an emperor, he expanded the empire trying to take the coasts of Geodia that his country bordered,  and made an enemy of just about everyone he encountered. Since his death the empire has fallen into chaos with local lords vying for power, some try to reignite the wars that were halted with the emperor's death, while others have brokered peaceful co-existence to build vast wealth in commerce.
