Rhoprax
Rhoprax is a collection of large islands that is inhabited by many races that live in a now low magic world with races such as Humans, Orcs, and Mousefolk living here. The world wasn't always this way, as evident by the numerous races with an innate magical ability, such as Dragonborn or elves, but the beings that gave the world its magic are unresponsive to most mortals. Elemental energies have taken the place of the traditional arcane magic, particularly by the Orcs, in the form of shamanism and blood rituals with the Elves acting in opposition to this and trying to use only the arcane magic that once permeated every object in the plane.
A callous three-way war between the human, the orcs, and the Dragonborn has torn the land asunder with the battle of Eskraw securing a glorius, yet pyrrhic, victory for the Dragonborn over the Humans.
The passing of this new year marks 50 years since the Dragonborn declared the Splendid War on the Orcs.
The Humans jumped on this chance to carve their way into Orc territory like vultures on a corpse - the Orcs however, were far from dying, and it seemed as though the hubris and the ignorance of the humans made them forget that the Dragonborn had just got a taste of war, of victory, and were caught off guard when their folly was realised and the Dragonborn declared on the humans in response - the War of the Copperwood Copse. In reality, the war encompassed many more races than just those three, particularly the Elves who seemed to be helping all sides, but also smaller, less established races such as the Firbolg, Goblin, Mousefolk, and many other smaller races who fought on whichever side promised them safety.
