Mechanics & Inner Workings

As the Rosato family members, generation after generation, have learned what the precious stone can do, writing down whatever new techniques or abilities they find out, each Yawron Guardian supposedly knows how to use the Rosato Amber at its maximum potential. The Rosato Amber has the following abilities and techniques:

• Amber cloak - an orange transparent fog cloak surrounds the wielder of the Rosato Amber on command. Having the cloak be on for too long can drain the stone of all of its power, meaning that it needs to be replenished of its energy.
  • The cloak adds defense to the wielder of the coat as if the wielder was covered in armour.
  • The cloak allows for the wielder to walk on water as if it was solid ground.
  • The cloak allows for the wielder to submerge themselves underwater and travel through the water at twice the speed that they can travel on land.
  • The cloak allows the wielder to not have to breathe when they are underwater.

• Amber cloaked weapon - the orange, amber aura can also specifically cover the weapon of the wielder, even when the wielder doesn't have their Amber cloak on, although both can work at the same time.
  •  The weapon, when it has the Amber aura around it is specifically effective against the creatures of the Red Sea, cutting through them and piercing through their defenses much more easily.
  • The orange aura can extend from the sword, adding roughly 10 feet of length to their blade for easier slashing at more giant monsters.
  • Cloaked weapons can also be thrown, while still keeping the aura onto them for a few seconds.
• Specialized magic style - there have been rare cases of Yawron Guardians who've been able to use the power of the Rosato Amber in a different way from the regular Yawron Guardian techniques.
  • Amber Aura Bolts - Magical bolts of orange energy can be fired out of the hands of the wielder of the stone. These bolts are fired very far, similar to a bow, and they can injure creatures although they are especially powerful against creatures of the Red Sea.
  • Amber Aura Boosts - The wielder can make amber aura around their hands into short, powerful flames which can boost the wielder, allowing them to fly. Some Yawron Guardians have employed these jets of flames in an offensive way although that hasn't usually been as effective as using weapons with amber cloaks.
    • Amber Aura Feet Boosts - There has only been one Yawron Guardian who has been able to use this technique hinting at how difficult it is to learn. The technique is identical to the regular amber aura boost technique, with the exception of originating from the wielder's feet, allowing for allowing the hands to be free for other actions, for example, using amber aura bolts.
  • Amber Arcane Focus - The Rosato Amber can be used as an arcane focus for casters, as well as allowing for the spells to be magically altered in various ways, adding an orange glow to many of the spells' visual effects.
    • Empowered Spells - The spells casted with the stone can be made even more powerful using the power of the stone.

Significance

The Rosato Amber is very important not only to the Rosato family but to the entirety of Yawron. As the source of power for the Yawron Guardian the Rosato Amber is very important as without it, the Yawron Guardian would also not exist, which would mean that monsters from the Red Sea would have a much higher chance of invading Yawron.
