Aidin

Aidin is a small, independent country, which consists of a grey, dead landscape. It exists in the South of Elgidth, next to Malesuray. It has two main civilizations which are North Aiding and South Aidin.

Demographics

Aidin mainly consists of Humans and Tiefligns although it has a very small amount of other races.

Government

North Aidin

North Aidin is the capital, the main city of Aidin which is more advanced than the South city. It has a better infrastructure than the south city, also having an actual economy. North Aidin has 4 main professions: Merchants, fisherman, blacksmiths and gladiators who fight in the Blade Arena. North Aidin is also where the King and his faction is located.

South Aidin

South Aidin is less evolved than North Aidin. There are no real jobs for pay, there is no economy, there are no organizations or buildings. It is true slum anarchy where the strong survive. Many South Aidin citizens move to North Aidin to try and live better lives.

Guilds and Factions

In North Aidin, there is the King's Faction. It's mainly just the King's friends and allies who enforce his rule. Understandably, the faction changes from King to King although that's not always the case, as one of the members can overthrow his friend and become the new king with all of his friend's continuing to enforce his rule.

The Blade Arena has many recurring gladiators and watchers who all together could be referred to as a faction.

In North Aidin a large group of sailors who owned around 3 ships, who'd go out not too far from coast and fish, counted as a faction. They produced a lot of food for the city.

History

Aidin was a land that, at first, was a part Malesuray, but after around 80 years, since Malesuray's creation, a big portion of its land got cursed with infertility, making it a dead, grey landscape. Malesuray chose to not use the land anymore, with many of the inhabitants leaving to go back to Malesuray. The land was unused for around 13 years until the Malesuray chose to send some of their prisoners over to the Aidin lands with materials to make a prison with guards supervising them. A prisoner called Lew Rayner sparked a revolution against the guards, alongside the other prisoners. He, with a lot of other prisoners following
him, went to Malesuray in the night to take their families back to Aidin, where many of the prisoners, now, back with their families, started making a new nation near the coast. In 515 Aidin City began officially being built. Whenever forces from Malesuray would come, the Aidin citizens would defend themselves successfully using the weapons they could take from the guards. The name Aidin was given to the land after Lew's son who was also named Aidin.
A few years later, a civilization of Tieflings came to Aidin on ship from the West. Some battles occurred between the humans and the Tieflings and at the end, the Tieflings were victorious. In the short war, Lew Rayner was killed in an honourable duel between him and a Tiefling man who would become the next Aidin king - Kyrus Mantren. With the new Tiefling leadership, many of the humans moved to the south of the country and formed a new city called South Aidin, calling the capital, where mainly the Tieflings stayed - North Aidin.

Geography

Aidin is located in the South of Elgidth, next to the ocean. The landscape is magically fruitless, infertile and grey.

Natural Resources

Aidin has a very limited amount of resources since the grounds are infertile. Fish are certainly the main food source. Some, incredibly rare, plots exist which can have vegetation on them, which are used to grow fruits. There are mines in North Aidin, where stone, metal ore and some rare crystals can be found.
