Blade Arena
The main object of interest in all of Aidin. Being a gladiator in the arena is the most esteemed profession you can have in Aidin, besides being the King, although some would even argue about that.
Purpose / Function
The Blade Arena is the main point of interest in North Aidin, and all of Aidin at that. It is also one of the only sources of entertainment in the country. Depending on the King, the Blade Arena could have been directly used for the King's pleasure, with the King attending every match since the King has little to do elsewhere.
The Blade Arena is an open arena where anyone who wants can join and try to gain pay for doing so. Some gladiators who've proven themselves in the arena to be both capable fighters and entertaining individuals, they can get managers who often are corrupt and rig fights. Champions of the arena can also be chosen by the King to become his bodyguards or to work under him with him working as their manager.
Combatants in the arena can wield whatever they want. A small 16-year-old with only his bare fists could go against a mountain of a man wielding a glaive for example. Anything goes as long as no one outside of the arena intervenes.

Tourism
One of the only reasons why people from South Aidin travel to North Aidin is to watch or enter the arena.
