Forest Gnome
Forest Gnomes are seldom seen outside their home province of Aldheim. Their affinity for forests makes them compatible with the local elven population, and thus most see no need to venture beyond Aldheim. They build small villages and houses amongst the underbrush of towering forests, sheltered by the canopies and treetop infrastructures the Wood Elves build. Their affinity for small creatures has made them allies with small pockets of mousefolk and woodland pixies, and together they watch over the forests of which their entire lives often form around. Any trespassers or pillagers that aren’t arrowed in the neck by the Wood Elves often stumble into elaborate illusions and trickery orchestrated by the Forest Gnomes and their allies.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Forest gnomes are easily distinguished from City Gnomes by their hair and skin tones, which are far more diverse in tone than City Gnomes are-- they run the gamut from pale copper to forest green and even light tinges of blue.
Additional Information
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Unique to Forest Gnomes is their ability to speak to small woodland creatures such as birds and squirrels. They also have innate illusion magic, and many Forest Gnomes use this ability to become talented wizards and druids.

Forest Gnome Impressions
When seen positively: A peaceful, spiritual folk who are at one with nature and preserve old Gnomish traditions their city cousins have left behind. When seen negatively: The redneck cousins to proper, decent city gnomes. Crazy hippie hedge-wizards, all of them, they should up and civilise like the rest of decent folk already.
