Revne

Shroud in an ever-looming mist at the edge of the Forgotten Realms, Revne drifts alone.   A set of four disparate islands, Revne has experienced two major catastrophes in its recorded history. The Shrouding and The Severing. The Severing, a massive earthquake of debated origin and purpose, tore the continent of Revne into the four distinct islands of Alwena, Eirlys, Sulwyn, and Aerona, commonly referred to as the Severed Sisters in the current era. The Shrouding took place some 500 years ago when the islands were immediately and inexplicably wrapped in a dense fog. No voyage or expedition has returned since.   While some natural resources are readily available, after centuries of isolation, there is an economic depression that has set in. Between the oppressive fog and forced rations becoming law in cities, the days weigh heavy on the will and mind of the collective citizenry. Some turn to religion, some to darker arts, and others to their tribal instincts. To make matters worse, the seas have become increasingly volatile, roads and riverways grow more treacherous by the day, and an army of trolls and orcs have gained a strategic foothold in the north,   In the midst of the unremitting fog, Revne clings to their food reserves, their sanity, and civilization itself.
