Eiled

Eiled is a collection of countries that inhabit one continent on Revelation. Three countries make up the continent: Niużtek, Ma'callcallca'ca(Macallca), and Donra. Niużtek is an icy wasteland with few large settlements to the northwest, Macallca's archipelagos stretches to the southwest, and Donra holds most of the populace in the northeast. Much of the wilderness between the larger ones has subsided to suburbs and smaller towns, meaning travel faces few monsters but many more mundane dangers. Similarly, the development means that some of the natural wonders of the continent have withered away under an increasingly dense population. Due to the history and density of the region, the bureaucratic heads of the Church of Wardensare based in Donra, effecting their long reach across Revelation from within the city of Malathas. Eiled is the home to the center of arcane development and cultural geniuses, with many brilliant minds mixing and meeting together in the numerous city-states that cross the borders of the countries.   Country borders mean little to the mainland, as independently governed city states span most of the area; each city-state attends its own affairs in accordance while participating in a continent-wide house of representatives that help govern each country and state as part of the whole. Each city-state sends one representative, while towns can lobby for representation by establishing a local co-dependant government who's mayor can petition for independance through a lengthy process.

Mythology & Lore

Most of Eiled follows the Church of Wardens, though smaller sects and cults tend to find like-minded individuals in the crowds in every city. Policing such groups is difficult or impossible due to the number of people and the small size of the groups, so the Church concerns itself with greater matters and policy establishment, as well as the collection and preservation of their own records for their history in the Watchers headquarters. They only intervene when a cult worshiping a malicious deity become larger than is acceptable and are known for responding with complete martial law and overwhelming force with allegedly little concern for bystander wellbeing, though such rumors are all denied by Church spokespeople.
