Pantheonic Temple

A massive religious complex, servicing both Seadwellers and Itakians, the Pantheonic Temple is, in actuality, a complex of many religious houses of worship.
Located on the shoreline where first contact between the Seadwellers and the Itakian peoples was purported to happen, the Temple has sections both above and below the waterline.
As to be expected, the above water sections contain churches and shrines to the gods of the Itakian Pantheon, and the below water sections contain churches and shrines to the gods of the Aquatic Pantheon.
Both sections also house a library for various religious texts pertinent to both Pantheons, barracks for live-in temple staff, and wedding venues.

Purpose / Function

The Pantheonic Temple was originally constructed during a rare era of true peace between Sea and Land-dwellers and was designed to allow both peoples to have a dedicated place of worship where both peoples could co-exist.
During eras of oppression or aggression, the Pantheonic Temple and it's surrounding areas were generally understood to be a non-combat target, and all staff, both Seadweller and Landdweller were protected.

Alterations

After initial construction, additions to the library have been created, and then upgrades to the overall building occurred as technology improved.
The above water sections now have central air conditioning and climate control as well as digital archives to supplement the physical library.
The below water sections have climate control, enhanced oxygenation bubblers, and digital archives for religious texts.
