Craft skills

I have a bunch of characters with various craft skills.   what exactly can be done with them? i mean if i want to make potions with my herbalist and alchemists, how do i do that? outside of putting time into craft.   Metalworkers? can they produce things?

I see these people as contributing to the self-sufficiency of your settlement. I could see your herbalists and alchemists making healing potions, if they can get the right herbs. You need to be careful if your craftsmen try to go into business to make money. The guilds might object.

I crafted instruments before. Smoke had me roll to see how good it was. Then I think he gave me money base on how I did. But it been awhile.

I think this a legit question we should pursue. The issue is what could they actually make. I’d like to see more potions and remedies in the game. Maybe we use a point system like spells but more randomized in which recipes you have. Some of the options should be pretty mundane things that would be like our general pharmaceuticals like aspirin, tums, and things to help you sleep but there should be some more potent things in the mix.
