Question about spell

Last night i asked about how a spell worked...Conclusion it was one or the other   Bolts of Dag
  • Desc-An enchantment which wreaths the caster’s hand or focus in ethereal flame. The caster is immune, but the flame inflicts ethereal burns on touched victims.
  • Notes-Using ‘Range’ will create a fire missile. A target that is hit suffers ethereal fire damage at plus 1 wound category.
  •     Ferleas' Burning Hand
  • Desc-"A self-enchantment that envelops the caster's hand
  • in violently burning flames. For Duration, the caster's hands are treated as normal weapons (no decrease in wound categories, but in fact increases a normal hit by 1 wound category)"
  • Notes-"The spell will never ignite armour/
  • clothing, but these will reduce Burn Impact normally."   My thoughts is the first should be both, but if you fire it the effect goes away from hands....so its like you cast an hold the "arrow" The 2nd can't be fore, but lasts for minutes...

i am confused. Why do we have 2 spells that do basically the same thing?   Also can you edit the title to include the title of the spell or spells

These two spells should be combined. By default they are on the caster's hand for 2d6+2 rounds. The caster can choose to take a full point of fatigue to make it an instantaneous missile instead. If the missile keeps the extra wound category, then it should be a Level II spell. If not, then it's a Level I spell.

i like them separate...one is short term that can turn into a missile..the other is long term but cant be turned into a missile.
