Feel (Detect Magic Spell)

its pretty wide open on the description and i think it needs to be defined a bit more.   1 thing i'd suggest is make it a touch spell with single use, but if you want to scan a room for a duration, you'd have to take an effects column which would not only add to duration rounds but allow it to be a ranged spell. So the effects column number would double as a duration in minutes, and range from you (so you can move around if necessary)   This spell does nothing more than detect the presence of magic items.

I think it should be a range area, defaulting to 2d6+2 minutes, maybe even (2d6+2)x10 minutes.

i think that is what is assumed...but that makes it strong, and no drawbacks to case..which i am fine with

It’s not that strong. It’s a baseline caster spell, and there aren’t many casters.

sure its a baseline spell. but look what we had to before i used this spell....its like an easy button. like i said i am perfectly fine with what you are suggesting...im just saying its strong based on what we've done in the past to determine magic.

Maybe we should bring casters on missions more often.   Ironically, if I could have gotten the Sage and could flip it, I was thinking of playing it on Napoleon. Alas, that is not meant to be.
