Mundane items and Furs
I suggest we split the furs by value, on specific furs..let me know what specific ones you want and i'll make a list. then you can do what you want with it.
mundane items:
1- A heavy woolen cloak , dyed dark red. Light blue ink has been used to trace wandering spiral patterns on the cloak, and the fine garment's edges have been trimmed in bone-white thread and feathers. A silver clasp in the shape of a walrus is used to secure the cloak.
2- Rolled and bound with rope is a small, darkly hued rug. Once the knots are broken and the rug is unrolled, the rope begins to unravel, the fibers breaking down from age and dehydration. The rug, however, is in excellent condition. Made of thick wool, it appears to be quilted in places, as if its purpose was to lend comfort to a devout worshipper’s knees while in prayer. Patterns of clouds, storms, ocean waves decorate the rug.
5- A wooden doll is as long as a man's hand, and moves jangily on individual joints, held on by iron nails. The toy depicts a grimacing gargun, his features more comedic than terrifying, dressed in colorful baggy clothing.
6- A small knife has a bone handle which curves into a crescent. The blade is a little longer than a man’s index finger, but very sharp. A tough, black-dyed leather sheath protects the blade. The handle is carved to look like curving horns.
8- A riding saddle made of blood-red leather. The saddle horn is carved in the shape of a one-eyed dragon, and the buckles are made of polished brass.
10- In a rough wooden box you find arrayed in rows a set of fish hooks in different sizes and materials. The smallest would be suitable for landing minnows while some of the larger ones would probably be strong enough to cope with a particularly fierce shark. Some of the smaller hooks are fashioned from stone and some kind of crystal, while the larger ones are made from steel
12- A wide leather bandolier with a heavy brass buckle, which is fitted with six sheaths for throwing knives. One of the knives is missing. Each of the five remaining knives is made of a single piece of bright steel, and has a flat handle carved in the shape of a stag.
13- a wooden box, within which is a long wooden snake made from articulated pieces. The snake’s eyes are a pair of dark grey, almost silvery stones [hematite]. Upon closer inspection it appears the snake’s scales are accented with slivers of blue stone [turquoise].
14- A clay drinking vessel, its sides and sloping lip decorated with black circles and snakes.
15- A long box holds a bone flute the length of a human male’s forearm. The flute has a piece of obsidian inset as the lip rest.
16- An elaborate studded leather tunic and kilt. The tunic is finely stitched and embroidered with maritime scenes; the bronze buttons reinforcing the armor are shaped like curled octopus. The leather kilt is decorated with wave patterned stitching.
Rather large book/journal that have entries with similar symbols. You can guess that this book documents where the item came from. for example = "retrieved from a Kubora warrior from the battle of the three hills".
About a dozen or so books and various scrolls. Most of the works look rather mundane but there are a set of books dealing with 'engineering'

I agree with the distribution of furs, if everyone else is fine with. Should we also distribute the metals/gems in a similar way?
I also agree with your suggestion on the mundane items (snake with Acadia getting middle pick). I would also be fine if Acadia wanted to pick first and then snake the rest after.
since i allocated a full share on furs for acadia, i'd prefer acadia gets middle pick. We need to wait on treasure, till we see how many gems are used.

I don't think we're going to get retail for the furs. We could probably take them to Golotha to Scarlet Dak's emporium. We'd probably get our best value there.
im not worried about retail, just split them based on assumed value, and you do what you want with them. sort of like we did with the "trade" goods a while back. I dont want to add any extra steps.

I got the cool backpack as part of my share of the loot. No cracks involved.
I have not seen any objections on the furs distribution, so please consider it a done deal and note them in your "inventory"
There are 12 items, enough to do a snake draft with everyone (including Acadia) getting 2....please put down whether you agree to a snake draft..once a majority agree, we can roll d100 (higest first or last your choice) and we can proceed. I am assuming they will want to go first..
It'd be nice to have the dracofelas skin on my floor at the townhouse, but I guess I'm ok with Varock getting it.
I'd like to read the journal entry on each item. Their provenances might influence my choices. I'm particularly interested in items that have Kuboran significance.
Don’t think anyone would stop you from reading. Then you’ll know what to pick in a snake draft. You didn’t say If you are fine with it
My answer partly depends on what I read about the items. It might be that everyone could name their first choice, and we work it out without a draft. These items seem to be mostly about flavor, although I guess there are some monetary differences as well. Before reading the descriptions, my preferences are the prayer rug, the knife and the tunic and kilt.
im not suggesting we make picks till people can thoroughly examine the items....if you agree on principle on a snake draft, we wont start the actual draft till folks are ready..but it would be nice to know the order first. That way if you find out something you'll have time to negotitate..

actually im not...reading those journals (which i understand OOC why you want to) will take a little bit of time....then there are the other books which i am sure others want to read. Im simply pointing out if you want to wait till you read everything to even decide how we are going to split, i could be doing other things, and it wouldn't even matter where the items were,
I thought you were doing other things, i.e. identifying the amulet. Regardless, what difference does it make whether we decide the splitting method, if we aren’t ready to split? What does that get us?

I'd say not the Inn. None of us control it. I'd be willing to keep it at the island and give any of you free access. By the way, I have the ROAE journal here as well, available any time to be studied. As soon as I can recruit a good scribe, I intend on making copies for everyone.
I have a permanent room at the inn, but likely not safe enough....i'd rather it be at your townhome in golotha...anything party related...a lot more convenient even with the distance to go there..as i can do other things while there.

We like books. We can buy hooks. I know some of them are strange and they are nice. But knowledge is important to the development of the next generation.
If no one minds, I'd like to take the doll. I might be able to make a Kuboran child happy.
