Casting spells as a Singular action

I'd like more clarity about when spells can be cast as a Singular action (thereby getting advantage on the spell). Ideally, I think we should have a column on the spell list saying yes or no for each spell.

I thought we said all singular action spells get an additional die in combat, but they only get a single die outside of combat

thats correct varock..but at one point we didnt allow it out of combat.....but i think we went back to it..   remember the magic friendly zone we found on the ruins mission.? we got a bonus die...but i think we only got 2 dice...   I'd think out of combat should be easier to cast spells than in combat.

The base rules are that you only get the additional die in combat and outside of combat you don't, but I agree with Jeff that if you have time why wouldn't you get the advantage. You could also say the same thing for Tracking etc..   hmm... this is problematic with our system.   I don't like the idea of out of combat a lot of skills/lores would get to roll an advantage die but I am struggling with the role play of it. Maybe if we made the spells harder to do then it would make sense?

Maybe we require some concentration time, like a minute? I don’t think you should be able to cast with advantage on the fly, but if you can meditate and focus, maybe that gives you advantage. If Atzan wanted to cast a spell to help his Charisma skills, he couldn’t cast it on the fly with advantage. He’d need to meditate and focus. If he wanted to cast a spell to get rid of bedbugs, he’d certainly want to concentrate and get advantage.

I like advantage out of combat. As someone who cast spell alot. I only get about four or five and Im heavily fatigue. It makes sense too.

Maybe we say that you can spend a fate point to cast with advantage. If you happen to get into a combat situation later that day, you're down a fate point. This would allow you to cast three spells per day with advantage. I don't think that's terrible.
