Chola the Delneri
Chola the Delerni is a hunter who supplies wild animals, Ivashu, and the occasional unfortunate human to the Pamesani arenas in Coranan and Shiran. She hires hunters, porters, trackers, and guards on a seasonal basis for her expeditions into the wilderness. She pays reasonably well and those with a good reputation can
sometimes negotiate a percentage of the profit. The willful, athletic daughter of the chieftain of the Delerni Kubora tribe, Chola was from a young age determined to win the acclaim commonly given to warriors instead of leading the sedate life of a chieftain’s
daughter. At the age of 15, she refused an arranged
marriage with the son of the Suyari chief and was cast
out by her father.
Having heard that there were fortunes to be won in
the south, she made her way to Shostim, where she was
captured and sold as a pleasure slave to the Garden of
Delight, a house of courtesans. She was purchased by Sir
Petryn Fornist, the wealthy bailiff of Ilaru Manor. Petryn
was executed for treason in 712. As his concubine,
Chola had learned Petryn’s secrets and was
condemned to the Pamesani arena; she escaped by
seducing her guard
