Game Concepts - Overview

Introduction

Hello my friend,
I appreciate, that you're here to learn a little more about ReSpawn. Before this world started to exist in my head, I wanted to design a game around the concept of Spawners. This was the birth of this World ReSpawn. After my decision, to create this game, I started to think a little bit more about the mechanics. Directly after, I figured, it would be nice, to think a little bit more about some historical actions for the game. I always was a story-focused person, when it comes to gaming. So of course I wanted mine to be something special.
After my creation of the different timelines, I started thinking about playable characters and classes. I wanted each character to have it's own backstory, skills and I also wanted some differences for the story, decided through your choice of playing a specific character. Even the final boss fight should have been different.
After taking my time to think about it a little, I began: 9 characters were created, 3 per class. Those different classes were the mage class, focused on spells and magic (what a surprise), the fighter class, which would go into close combat fights, disliking all other forms of combat and the archer class, which is the opposite of the fighter class. The Fighter class was named as it is, because you should be able to choose: Tank or Assassin? You could even switch ingame, if you wanted. So my concept says, at least.

And those were the names of those playable characters:

Some of them had and still could have impact on the world. I also have been planning out, how the plot should look like, how the game could be balanced (even with some very overpowered traits) and how you would actually play the game.


WARNING/GAME_NOT_FINISHED

Maybe you're asking yourself right now: After so much planning already, why did you give up? Why did you not make this game?
Well, let me say it like this: I haven't give up until now. But while I was planning all that out, I figured: If story is so important, why not do this first? I wasn't really capable of making a game alone at the time I started. I'm still not today, but it wouldn't be a problem for me. I just thought, I should first build this world up and then, there is still time to do the game.
And on the other hand: I just thought, I couldn't give the game the justice, it deserved. It's a stupid thought maybe, but for me it's an important one. So I have been putting it on ice for now.
Someday, I'm going to get back at this. And when I do, I hopefully can finally give it the justice it deserves. Because you should get the chance, to play this game you're way in a world, I created.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This and all of the following articles in the category Game Concepts are currently my original words. So they're not edited or corrected in any way, just filled with old content. I'm still going to correct them, since their from 2019 and I've improved at least a little in my vocabulary and grammatical knowledge.
