Session 8: The Census Cometh

General Summary

Mardot ransacks the tent, missing anything too juicy, although Icarus finds Flux's notes about a Ring of Protection, the well, and a map to Agatha's location. The party wakes up Flux and interrogates him, primarily harping on his lack of signage and zombie ethics. Flux is an archeologist looking for arcane secrets. Mardot and Calix manage to convince Flux to join them and the Goblin Revolution, promising him the chance to open a college for the goblins once they succeed.
Flux travels with the party to Thundertree, an abandoned village covered in ash and overgrowth. The party investigates a little before finding a building with a Black Dragonborn and cultists with draconic masks. The party knocks on the front door, Calix convincing the cultist that they're the "Census Bureau." Dragonblade Favric comes out to talk with the party, eventaully inviting them inside. Favric and the cultists reveal that a dragon has made its home in the tower on the hill. The party convinces the cultist to let htem join them in talking with the dragon.
The party, Flux, and the Dragon Cultists walk up to the tower, passing a group of dead spiders. Entering the tower, the group meets Venomfang, the Green Dragon. The Census Bureau does their duty in gathering details, namely that Venomfang says her sister is after her and the spiders outside were her spies. Favric attempts to feed Venomfang the party in return for her joining the cult in a place of honor. Venomfang takes a liking to Calix and places him on a broken column. The session ends as Venomfangs gathers noxious gasses in her mouth.
