Sunrise Raider Legion
Brainstorming Raider Legion
Inspiration: Fallout New Vegas Legion
Quick Thoughts: Has armored knights, produces most if not all its own melee weapons, such as battle blades, axes, and spears
- Armored Knights
- Produces own Melee weaponry, such as Battle Blades, Axes, Spears, and Clubs
- Tribal Motifs, such as Tribal Medicine
- Has people living in 'medieval' conditions based off their status
The Forges Alight: This Faction mainly focuses on forging its own weapons out of metal scavenged from the wastes. However, even with this standardized weaponry and armor, Legionnaires are encouraged to scavenge, purchase, or plunder their own weapons and armor.
Hydra?: Possibly called Hydra to a degree. Probably not, maybe Dragon motifs.
Raiders and Tribals: The Avatar and his people were able to grab both reverted Tribals and newly formed Raiders. They have a relaxed stance on drug use for the Raiders, but mostly berserkers are limited to them.
They use tribal remedies and modern medicine, though there is an unofficial 'caste' system where the lowest live in near medieval conditions while the higher ups live in near-modern luxuries.
Dog Tag Pendants/Trophy Pendants: These pendants show off the victories against others, particularly factions which use Dog Tags or other forms of soldier identification.
Speaking of which, its likely the Legion also uses a form of Dog Tag to keep track of its soldiers, possibly made of the same stamped metal. Or of clay and/or lead, like ancient romans.
The Avatar's unwilling assistant: This physician has been captured and is forced to keep The Avatar or one of the higher ups medically sound. The player has a chance to recruit them to take them away from this life of servitude.
Legion Faction (Copypasted, adjust)
Legion Raider Army Faction: A large, heavily grown raider group. Perhaps lead by one incredibly tough and intimidating leader. Little of their armor is standardized besides a basic armor set. Rank often comes with wearing the armor of the foes they have slain. The higher ups wear dog tag pendants made from the NCR faction's dog tags as an intimidating factor.
They have both former raider gangs and tribals in their ranks. They use both modern medicine and tribal remedies. They use axes and shields for melee, though most retain their guns.
A set of heavy armor, reminiscent of medieval times. This set of armor combines both medieval craftmanship and modern technology, creating a flexible yet protective armor. These sets of armor are given out to the highest ranking officers.
Armor
Armor Overview: Styled after Medieval Knights and various other influences.
Legion Conqueror Armor: Armor made up of trophies the specific Legionnaire has killed. High ranking and lucky Legionnaires
Legion Knight Armor: Metal armor plates made in the style of old medieval armors. It protects well and is faster than it looks. It is designed mostly to defend against small arms. A lot of these knight armors were used in the conquering and subjugation of Tribals, Raiders having a better time dealing with it.
Legion Skirt: A versatile piece of clothing, often having a front plate to denote rank.
Weapons
Weapon Overview: Simple weapons easily made in a forge.
Guns are often trophies from conquered peoples, so a lot of different ammo and parts. Not great for logistics.
Battle Axe: Fashioned like a fire axe, it has a long handle, several handles and wrappings, and a nasty axe head. It is a staple weapon of the raider legion, often seen in the higher-up raiders.
Battle Blade: The Legion manufactures its own swords for its legionnaires. These swords are small and with simple yet effective constructions. Stronger variants go to higher-ranks.
Spears: From short throwing spears to large charging spears, the simplest sharp end of a stick works well.
Battle Club: Blunt instruments meant for tight corners, probably more in urban fighting.
